Jim Brown on Colin Kaepernick: “He needs to choose between football and being an activist.”

Earlier this morning football legend, Jim Brown told #ThePostGame that Kaepernick needs to choose between activism and football, which he said “contradict each other.”

“If you try to be both in a situation, football is commercial. You have owners, you have fans and you want to honor that if you’re making that kind of money. If you have a cause, I think you should organize it, present it in a manner where it’s not only you standing or sitting on one knee, but a lot of people that is gonna get behind each other and do something about it,” Brown stated.

“If you’re a football player, play football,” he added. “If you’re going to be a real activist, use your money, use your notoriety.”

Now, my question is, who’s paying Jim Coon- I mean, Jim brown to bring down another black man’s beliefs? Why is it when we stand up against the white man, we are stripped of our means of survival? And then they wonder why some turn radical…

And why are our brothers letting these same white man have his way with them? If our own people cant fight for our rights, who will?

Jim acts as if he wasn’t around long enough to see racism first hand! He wasn’t born yesterday.. It’s just so sad that we cannot stand for one another anymore. Some believe selling your soul to the devil is just a conspiracy. But you can see very clearly how real it is! And Mr. Brown is just one of many who signed that dotted line.

What are your thoughts?

  1. I am Both Disgusted and Amazed that a man who once was admired and Trusted to do the right thing! A man who stood with Muhammad Ali for his activism against the war in Vietnam ? The Man must be senile either that Or He Had Sold his Soul to the devil! Either way I’m DONE With Him! He is nothing more than a shuffling Coon dancing to Racist Ass Trumps Music.

  2. Opinions are like a holes and everybody has one. So Let me give mine, Spike Lee made a movie decades ago called Do the Right Thing. Apparently some of us no longer believe in or care to Do the Right Thing. There’s an old saying that “You got to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything.” I guess some of us have gotten comfortable with the status quo and feel good about falling for anything. Colin is a human being standing up against injustice and doing it publicly. I call that courage.

  3. There are many athletes in all sports that used their platforms to fight social and racial injustice. They also put their money to these causes. Collins did both. Go American for using your platform for social injustice and exercising your constitutional rights.

  4. I think Jim Brown have a right to voice his opinion without being called a coon or some degrading names that’s being used by people that don’t agree with the narrative Colin Kaepernick also have the same right The question becomes can we as a people be critical of media statements made by those that have the attention of the masses through media without further dividing and labeling each other that only show our immaturity as a people and play into the hands of those we claim are oppressing us

    1. Jim Brown is a #COON since these sorry ass opinions he has for a black man standing up for others. Who say you can’t play football and be an activist that’s not hard to do. I USE TO HAVE SO MUCH RESPECT FOR MR. BROWN BUT HE JUST LOST HIS #BLACKCARD. WILLIE D DESCRIBES WHAT A COON IS AND MR BROWN FIT THE DEFINITION. YOUTUBE WILLIE D COON #1 AND #2 IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT A COON IS.

  5. As long as we got to go to their banks thier stores thier school there will always be tension. We need to support each other before we handle the race issue we have to stop slaying ourselfs spend money in our community
Teach our youths more than Jordan’s and Molly’s bump how to cook up let’s teach farming fishing agriculture etc. Teach more do more

  6. Jim Brown said nothing wrong, do one of the other, what’s wrong with saying that, it’s clear the folks are not gonna let him play football,
