Floyd Mayweather is often criticized in the Black community, but one thing I try to do is learn from everyone and everything. When we are humble and not “holier than thou” we can learn from even a negative situation.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.“ – Romans 8:28
Floyd Mayweather has been known for being “cocky” or “arrogant”, however to me it’s been just for the entertainment of boxing. Now of course he’s confident and has every right to be, but outside of the right the brother seems to be very humble. Recently he was on the Steve Harvey Show and talked about the moves he’s made for his family which are very Honorable in my humble opinion and here’s why. A lot of people are quick to question why he doesn’t do anything for “Africa” or why he doesn’t do anything when a black issue rises, but i’m sure you’ve all heard “charity starts at home” and a man’s FIRST responsibility in the eyes of God is his family, in fact the order is God, Family then Nation(Community).
Listen to Floyd Mayweather explain how what he’s done in boxing has made his family millionaires for generations to come.
“All I ever wanted to do was put my family, my mother and father in a comfortable position.”
Many people focus on being seen of people by always donating to causes, always giving back to the community etc but a lot of people give to the community but don’t provide for their families and it’s better in the eyes of God for a man to do for his family.
Listen to The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan give an example of those who abandon their family for others.
