69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards - Arrivals

Issa Rae is a youtube star, which is actually how I first found her. She was one of the black film makers who had quality content. According to her facebook page, “Issa Rae’s content has garnered over 25 million views and nearly 200,000 subscribers on YouTube. In addition to making the Forbes 30 Under 30 list and winning the 2012 Shorty Award for Best Web Show for her hit series “The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl,” Issa Rae has worked on web content for Pharrell Williams, Tracey Edmonds and numerous others. She developed a TV series with Shonda Rhimes and ABC and is currently developing a half-hour comedy for HBO. Rae also released a book of essays with Simon & Schuster in February 2015.

Recently one of her videos has gone viral after she is seen saying she’s rooting for everybody black.

It’s crazy how everytime we show love for ourselves they try to call it racist. They fear us coming together doing something for ourselves, could that be why they bombed Black Wall Street?
